09.04.14 - Its time for some for some throwbacks!
Nothing much is going on really, so I decided to share some photos with you guys I took!

This few photos is just a short glimpse of what we have been through in Finland! Although its a calm and "nothing much to do place", it really brings fun when you are around the friends you have there, or also have more explorations of yourself, and what passions you are seeking specifically. If you have read my post a lot, I just realize I mention about passion many times. 

Isn't life all about passion?

08.04.14 - Free time = Work on Portfolio 

Weekends are as usual, we went for groceries shopping, we went to explore the town of Kajaani. On Sunday, my course mates and I went to visit the Ruins Castle, Kajaani is a super duper calm environment, but during the night many people love to club. (Especially in my apartment)

For quite a few nights, I had a lot of time to think of what I want to do in the future. Concept artist? 3D Artist? I have been doing explorations within this stuff by myself. Whenever I have a spark of passion to do something, I immediately start to ponder about it. Currently I wish to build another 3D model, an astronaut. Although I have a beetle to work on, but I also aim to make a 3D model, High resolution, retopologise it and lastly animate it.

It was a quick sketch, I wanted to give him a tool which is on his forearm, a enhanced glove powered by hydraulics? Air pressure? The reason I picked an astronaut is because of the similarity it has with me. In Finland, we are kind of alone (in terms of family & friends) and its a place we are making our own exploration. So yea, relevance drive me to do it. And here is a Zbrush model I go forth after the sketch.

My whole intention of doing all this was to make beautiful shots on a scene, I will also make environment assets to suit the astronaut in the scenes. I am excited about it actually! But I hope the drive won't extinguish that easily, I really hope so.

01.04.14 - Continuing the Streak
Today I was prepared to attend 2 lessons, each of them were 2-3 hours long. I was definitely feeling dull because of the duration. But however, I suspect the teachers from the 2 lessons are going for some vacation, because they were sick at the same day.

I was like.. What just happen today. I brought an attentive brain to absorb whatever I can, but they never came. But it was fine for me, in fact I actually had time to start a portfolio work I having been working on since this early evening. I decided to model an old school Volkswagen Beetle!

Here is my work in progress (WIP in short). Although it looks ugly now, I strongly believe i can make it beautiful! I am practicing more of the topology of the model. I currently put the Paolo pirate to a rest for a while because I have been spending quite a big amount of time on it, so you should be seeing the pirate sooner or later! Goodnights!
