Hey peeps, days in Finland are really flying by quickly, I only have around 3 months left before I take a plane back to Singapore again. Love the weather here, its cold and dry. For my work life here its getting very very plain.. I struggled a lot because the things I do here is quite repetitive (in terms of studies) I don't really get to absorb a lot from the studies here, it is really self exploration/ studies that keeps you pumping.
For my personal projects, I actually went to explore in many various parts of what I want to do in the future, modelling, rigging, animating. I hope to make storyboards soon. I went to start around 2-3 personal projects even though I didn't complete one yet ,the good thing of having multiple projects is keeping yourself active in different things at a go instead of just focusing on one only. It really help me to push my momentum to at least produce some improvements to my work. Here is one of my work in progress of the Old School Volkswagen Beetle!
I add a few lights to give the car a nicer look in the picture. Used a viewport camera with twitched settings (like enabling ambient occlusion in real time).
Today I am also feeling disturbed. Because of my friends. I personally find that I am quite a naggy person. (when I just talk casually) I tend to be exaggerating and sensitive in a casual conversations, I do it for fun. But however some of my friends wouldn't want to anticipate in such type of conversation.
One particular friend (I shall not say his/her name) lets call him or her "A". A is a friends I find quite challenging to interact with at times, A tends to ignore my conversation whenever A wants. So one bad habit A has is ignorance, which in long term could result bad consequence. Another thing A has issues with is acceptance. To accept certain things I say, or to reject it. I say all this from what I have experience being with A and not assuming into conclusions.
I too have problems, maybe being exaggerating or sarcastic in conversations with certain people is not their cup of tea. But if my friends were to suggest or give logical/constructive criticism on how somethings I could have done better then yes of course I will think about it and make those changes without hesitating.
In short, I really think being selfless is a key issue everyone would face to be. But to accept those fact or not, it is really up to the individual to decide, to dwell in their own comfort zone or to have a intention of being a better person. I am not a good guy but I wanna be one and I'm definitely struggling.
I personally think in order for us to grow, we must voice out our problems.
